Sunset @ Secret of Louisisana |
This time round, I'm back to Secret of Louisiana with my family to try out their dinner menu!
When night kicks in, the shades are recline back in for patrons to fully enjoy the lovely evening breeze and the beautiful night/dawn sky. However we were unlucky as it started to drizzle at about 7.30pm so they had to pull back out the shades.
For their dinner menu, you can browse through it @ their website. Be prepared to be spoilt by an array of American Cajun cuisine, ranging from pastas, chicken, seafood, rice...& so much more! Here's what we ordered that night.

Seafood Gumbo RM26.90
Sauteed assorted seafood in creamy sauce rich in cheese & cream, served with toasted garlic bread.
Gosh I could have this dish all by myself. A must-order for cheese lovers. Prepare your taste buds to be mesmerized by the creamy & savoury sensation, jam-packed with fresh, succulent squids and prawns. Best paired up with the crunchy garlic bread infused with aromatic garlic butter taste, or you can just eat it on its own, depending on your preferences.
Even mum (who isn't a fan of creamy & cheesy food) gave her thumbs up approval for this dish!
Guff Shrimps & Crawfish Bisque RM23.90
Homemade tomato concasses with sweet corn, bell pepper & celery with fresh crawfish & shrimp.
Please don't get a heart attack while browsing through the price list of their soup. It's there for a reason. Look at the amount of FRESH seafood in our soup! Two small crawfish & three fresh shrimps! The tomato broth has a natural sweetness from the seafood which delivers a mouth-watering effect to my taste buds, leaving me craving for more. Definitely recommended!
Red Snapper RM42.90Homemade tomato concasses with sweet corn, bell pepper & celery with fresh crawfish & shrimp.

Dredged red snapper fillet on Cajun spice mix seared on hot iron cask with butter, blackened style with vegetables.
The tender & fresh red snapper fillet was a delight to the taste buds, albeit being a little spicy & salty at times, but mellowed down by the bed of vegetables below the fish.
Seafood Jambalaya RM38.90
Rice cooked with fresh assorted seafood, sausages, tomatoes , corn, celery, mushrooms & herbs
What else could go wrong with a huge skillet of creamy & flavourful rice? Plus the addition of generous, fresh seafood like prawns, mussels & squids just make me fall in love with this dish even more. The portion was huge enough for two/three to share.
The bill came up to RM170+ for our dinner for 3 (Plus two glasses of beer because it was happy hour before 8.30pm).Great food, attentive staffs (who constantly offer to refill my glass of sky juice when my glass is empty), superb environment. Definitely one of my favourite place to go!
