Madam Kwan 9th Branch Grand Opening @ Sunway Pyramid!

Madam Kwan's 9th branch opened it's door to the public on the 16th of May 2015 @ Sunway Pyramid!

Madam Kwan now has 9 outlet throughout Klang Valley (Bangsar Shopping Center, Suria KLCC. Mid Valley, Pavilion, Empire Subang, Alamanda Putrajaya, One Utama & Sunway Pyramid!) which includes one Miss Kwan outlet at Suria KLCC, a more laid-back & casual outlet with a similar food menu & concept.

I was really fortunate to be invited to witness the grand opening of their 9th outlet here at Sunway Pyramid. The grand opening took place at 11am on the 16th of May 2015.

Golden scissors for the ribbon-cutting ceremony!

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was officiated by Datin Madam Kwan herself.

The opening ceremony was a bang , with lion dances, party poppers & cheers from the crowd. 

Madam Kwan's Sunway Pyramid's branch was really spacious. Don't miss the Madam Kwan mural on the right side of the wall once you set foot into this branch!

Plenty of large tables are available here at the Sunway's branch to accommodate large groups, with a cage-like partition to give patrons some priacy.

The interior was cleverly designed, with a blend of traditional baba nyonya & vintage elements plus modern industrial look. The light and spacious space inside Madam Kwan's Sunway Pyramid branch gives the place a cheerful and airy vibes.

Chicken Satay

Tender & succulent chicken satay served alongside with peanut sauce, The chicken tender was really soft & tender, and it paired perfectly with the sweet peanut sauce. I loved how generous the chunks of meat were! 

Chicken & Beef Satay
The beef satay was tender & succulent too, like the chicken satay.

Bean Sprout with Salted Fish RM17.90
Crunchy stir-fried bean sprout with salted fish.

Wok-Fried Mixed Vegetables RM20.90
Assorted vegetables wok-fried served with prawns, squid and chicken

Fried Chicken Drumstick RM10.90 each
Deep-fried chicken to golden perfection. Served in Nasi Bojari. The fried chicken was addictive, tender on the inside, nice and crispy on the outside.

Assam Prawns RM26.90
Succulent prawn cooked with sweet & spicy tamarind sauce. Usually served alongside with their Nasi Bojari.

Curry Chicken RM20.90
A dish not to be missed in Madam Kwan's. Served with Nasi Lemak. A dish that is prepared by Madam Kwan's herself daily! The curry was thick, rich and fragrant with aromatic coconut milk taste, with a spiciness that gives a kick. Recommended!

Char Kway Teow RM18.90
Flat rice noodle stir fried with chicken, prawns, squid, egg & bean sprout
Served with generous chunks of chicken, succulent prawns & tender squids, the Char Koay Teow here is full of "wok-hei", definitely another dish that is worth coming back for!

Craving for cakes or something sweet? Madam Kwan's serves cakes from Just Heavenly BSC as well as a wide range of local desserts such as Cendol & ABC!
