Slappy Cakes, Publika Solaris Dutamas [CLOSED]

A new pancake shop is in town! Located in Publika Solaris Dutamas, Slappy Cakes sets to bring the trend of breakfast food to a whole new level.
Slappy Cakes started off as a family owned & operated restaurant in Portland in 2009. Fast forward to present, Slappy Cakes has been featured nationally on The Cooking Channel, Rachael Ray, Women's Day Magazine, and was awarded the title of "America's Best" by Food Network's Alton Brown as one of America's top ten destinations.

This renowned pancake shop has since expanded world wide to Japan, Philippines, Singapore and is finally available here in Publika, Kuala Lumpur!
Slappy Cakes' main selling point would be their DIY PANCAKES! Besides offering ready-to-order pancakes with various toppings and condiments to choose from, customers can flaunt their creativity by mixing & matching their favourite batter & toppings , and construct their own pancakes!

Customers can choose from 4 different pancake batter: Whole Wheat, Buttermilk, Chocolate & Peanut Butter batter. All pancake batter are priced at RM12 except buttermilk batter which is priced at RM9. All batter are made from scratch daily and filled in these squeezy bottles which are easy to handle and mess-free.
White Chocolate Chips, Lemon Curd & Strawberries
Blueberries, Homemade Cinnamon Cream & Strawberry Jam
Prices of toppings & condiments varies from RM3-3.50. Slappy Cake array of toppings & condiments would be a delight to everyone - from sweet toppings like ice-cream & chocolate chips, savoury toppings like mushroom, cheese & sausages to the healthier options like fruits & nuts.

Once you've selected your batter & topping, it's time to have some fun! See how easy it is to maneuver around with the squeezy bottle!
When bubbles start to form around the edge of your pancake, it indicates the flip side of the pancake is cooked and you are free to flip your pancake! Fret not if you didn't flip the pancake on time - your pancake will never be burn thanks to the innovating technology of the pancake grill.

The softness of your pancake depends on how long you cook your pancake - the longer you cook your pancake, the chewier the texture becomes. So if you prefer a pancake with a soft and spongy texture make sure it isn't cooked on the grill for too long!

Pince & Pints, Jalan Telawi 5 Bangsar [CLOSED]

Pince & Pints Restaurant and Bar, the quintessential destination for affordable lobster feasting, opened its first outlet in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur on the 9th of October 2015.

Pince & Pints Kuala Lumpur is a 55-seater restaurant in the bustling foodie precinct of Bangsar (Jalan Telawi 5, located just next to Ril's Steakhouse), presenting incomparable affordable prices for fresh, quality lobsters.

Pince & Pints Kuala Lumpur combines the rustic charm of lobster houses in New England with the polished sophistication of city life that consists of an elegant mix of marble, walnut timber finish, bronze mirrors and copper detailing. Diners can also look forward to see one of Malaysia’s most celebrated artists, Ahmad Zakii Anwar’s lobster inspired artwork that will be featured in the restaurant.

Wild-caught lobsters are air flown live from the waters of Boston, Maine and Canada twice a week to Pince & Pints’ own holding facility with specifically tuned-in conditions to maintain the freshness of each lobster.

No lobster stays more than 7 days in the restaurant to ensure that the lobsters served are always top quality – meaty, juicy and fresh.

All food items on the menu are priced at a standard RM158++, and every dish comprises of a whole lobster portion (approx 600-650g). As for now, Pince & Pints only have five (5) food item on their menu to ensure the quality and standard are uphold.

The Lobster Roll
Hearty chunks of fresh lobster meat tossed in mayonnaise and salt, stuffed in a “top split” homemade bun, and served with straight cut fries with skin, garlic aioli and house salad.

A signature at Pince & Pints Restaurant and Bar: steamed, then marinated with mayonnaise and salt. The iconic “top split” homemade bun is generously spread with butter before pan-frying, which makes the roll light and crispy with an aromatic richness. Stuffed with hearty chunks of the natural sweetness of the meat (using a whole lobster and the claw) and coated with chopped chives, the dish is then served with a side of straight cut fries with skin and salad with the restaurant’s own house dressing of sour cherry balasmic vinaigrette.
Chili Lobster with Mantou
An homage to its Singaporean roots, a special house blend chili gravy envelopes a whole portion of fresh lobster and is served with a side of mantou (fried buns), the perfect pillows to soak up the mouth-watering sauce
With slighty more tart and sweeter than the chili sauce used for crabs, roma tomatoes, ginger, lemon grass, garlic, and egg are added to the chili sauce (a special house blend). The sauce delivers its singular, delicious punch with mantou (fried buns) – providing as the perfect pillows to soak up the mouth-watering gravy.
Whole Live Lobster (Grilled)
A whole portion of lobster, grilled to perfection, and ready to be dunked in the homemade herbed butter sauce, served with straight cut fries with skin and house salad. The grilled/steamed is the best ways to fully appreciate and experience the natural sweetness and freshness of lobsters.

The grilled version comes with mesclun salad tossed in sour cherry and balsamic vinaigrette, herbed butter and straight cut fries with skin.

Whole Live Lobster (Steamed)
And for the steamed version, the live lobster is steamed in salted water and olive oil (a classic New England technique) to enhance the natural taste of the sea; the perfect option for those wanting to ‘eat clean’. Served with addictive Garlic Alioli sauce which tempts you to go for seconds!
Lobster Noodles (exclusive to Pince & Pints Kuala Lumpur)
Large chunks of shell-on lobster stir-fried with scallions and ginger in a lightly seasoned sauce atop freshly made egg noodles, and served with chili oil.
The noodles were springy and flavourful. Each slurp was packed with the natural sweetness of the lobster, plus some "wok hei" for the extra kick.

Expect an array of sweet, sour, bitter and dry cocktails, boutique wines from all over the world, artisanal beers and handcrafted mocktails here at Pince & Pints. Whether you're looking for the perfect cocktail to start your meal, or a dessert-like concoction to relish after satisfying your lobster cravings, the cocktails served here at Pince & Pints will further excite and tantalize the tastebuds and dining experience.
