The Library Coffee Bar, Damansara Uptown [CLOSED]

Another new coffee bar in town! And no, don't confuse it with The Library Pub :P

The Library Coffee Bar has recently sprouted over the Klang Valley, with 4 branches to date as of 6th of August 2014 (Avenue K, Bangsar South, Damansara Uptown & Sunway Pyramid) & more branches will be opened soon through out West Malaysia by the end of this year. The Library Coffee Bar certainly piqued my interest to give it a try so Guan Ren & I decided to hop by one night to celebrate a beloved friend's birthday. 

Occupying a two-story shop lot at the busy streets of Damansara Uptown (same row as Departure Lounge), we were greeted by the staffs dressed smartly in vest and ties. The second floor is a smoking, open air balcony so we snapped up a seat at the ground floor fast as The Library Coffee Bar was having a really busy night. 

While making our order at the counter,we were told by the staffs that there might be a delay in our food due to the crowd. We were fine with it, since we had a lot to catch-up with each other. 

The Library Coffee Bar, as its name suggested, has a theme of a library, with majestic bookshelves filled with books to the brim, comfy-looking sofas with a colourful array of cushion for the comfort of readers, and no music playing in the background so that one can focus on reading their book. However, the loud chatters of the crowd filled up the silence, and the air conditioning wasn't really blowing to our spot so it was rather hot & humid. The Library Coffee Bar wouldn't be a conducive place for reading during peak hour on my opinion ^_^"

My friend ordered this. I did not try it but according to my friend it was quite dry, as if it was left at the counter for the whole day.

Old School Waffle with Two Scoop of Ice-Cream RM13.50
A little hefty price tag for a small waffle. Never mind that, the taste is more important, no?
I felt that the waffle was a little lacking. It felt a little bit too stale, perhaps it would be better if it was a little more crispier. It didn't quite hit the spot for me, and the mediocre ice-cream didn't do much help either. Taste is a rather subjective & it depends on preferences, my taste buds didn't really fancy the waffle served at The Library Coffee Bar but it is certainly a different story for others. :)
