Betty's Midwest Kitchen, Aman Suria

Betty's Midwest Kitchen is my family's favourite place to go whenever we are in need of a pork-y feast or simply craving for burgers, before the advent of those maju burger place like Burgertory or my Burgerlab. Betty's Midwest Kitchen is well-known for their really affordable price and finger-licking good American food.

Guan Ren and I wanted to try out Ninja Joe's new pork burger but the rush hour jam deterred us from getting to Tropicana City Mall on a Friday night. Thus, we decided to make a detour to Aman Suria instead!

 Betty's usually get very very crowded during peak hours. But don't be intimidated by the crowd! The friendly and helpful waiter will help you in getting a table =) Please take note that Betty's don't acceptreservation nor seat incomplete parties

I wasn't really hungry at that time (as I spammed two cheesecakes before we came out for dinner) so I decide to just share with Guan Ren

One of the best thing I like about Betty's is their service. It has always been really efficient and the staffs are also really friendly =) Our orders arrive approx one minute after we placed our order! I guess this is how Betty's tackle their crazy lunch/dinner crowd.

Dog Food (RM10)
Generous amount of French Fries drenched in gravy and cheese, and baked in oven to melt the cheese to perfection. Not recommended to those on a diet.

The amount of cheese were generous! This cheese often reminds me of Garette's Popcorn tagline: "Love is Messy". The cheese and gravy blends in with the fries, complimenting each other perfectly mmhhmmm.The gravy was thick and flavourful, sort of reminds me of IKEA's meatball gravy =p My family, even my mum who is not a big fan of western food love this dish a lot!
However, we find the fries a little soggy =/ It used to be really crispy on the outside and soft in the inside

Pulled Pork Burger (RM12)

Slow-Cooked Pork braised in their special sauce. This is the best burger I'd ever tried in Betty's (mind you, I've actually tried em all =p). The meat was really soft and tender, and their special sauce gives the meat extra moisture, enhancing the flavour of each bite you devour. The burger bun however, was the usual commercial burger bun you can get from stores, was not really soft and fluffy =/

The coleslaw was also really nice and tangy. We dumped the fries into our Dog Food mixture as it tasted too mediocre after having the dog food =p

I was disappointed as the quality of the food has dropped compared to before, but nevertheless, the food was still really great!  It's a really good place for a hearty American Meal =)
